One of the key principles of “adult learning” is that adults learn by doing. Applying Professional Scrum™ (APS) is a course that enables the same principle and allows students to explore and learn about Professional Scrum and Scrum Framework while using Scrum. During the course students work as Scrum Teams to carry out Sprints where they engage in discussions and activities that foster learning objectives of the course.
During the two days of the class students learn to apply Professional Scrum. They experience how the Scrum framework enables teams to deliver more value, satisfy stakeholders and work better together.
By working through complex problems in sprints during the session, students gain experience with the challenges they’ll encounter in practice. They also uncover common myths, misunderstanding and anti-patterns associated with Scrum. This makes the students aware of the associated symptoms and how to correct them. Students not only learn Scrum; they learn how to use Scrum well.
At the end of the course students are also eligible to a free attempt at the globally recognized Professional Scrum Master I certification exam (PSM I).
